I have been busy with the garden this weekend! I’ve mostly been doing some canning, but got a few other things done, too.
I got some dill pickles made and a spicy zucchini relish, which actually tasted pretty good. Even the husband, who doesn’t like zucchini’s thought it tasted pretty good. I had too many cucumbers cut up for pickles, but not enough liquid, so I took cucumbers in a mayonaise sauce to the church potluck Sunday. That worked out in my favor!
My husband wants sweet pickles and I still have lots of zucchini, so I’m making Bread and Butter Pickles using a mix packet I found at the grocery store. I’ve decided to make zucchini jam. This week, since it’s going to be cooler, I’m making sweet pickles, zucchini jam and plum preserves. There are so many plums on my tree that I think most of them will go bad.
My dog is getting in my flowers back by the fence, so I have to fix the little fence I put around it so she can’t get in there. I’ve been trying for years to get things to grow and look nice back there only to have her destroy it every year.
Until next time, happy gardening!

I am not really sure if greatest practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your good job is clearly identified. I was wondering if you offer any membership to your RSS feeds as I would be very interested but i can’t find any link to join here.Where is it?
